Some months ask us to do more.
This one feels different.
July has me wondering what my soul has been trying to say all along—beneath the striving, beneath the noise, beneath the last old stories that continue to shape how I move through this world.
I don’t hear the soul shout.
I believe it patiently waits until we’re willing to become still enough to listen.
When we do, what comes forward isn’t always a detailed plan. Sometimes it’s simply a deeper knowing. A new sense of direction. A vision that feels too alive to ignore. A clear invitation to become more fully ourselves.
I’ve realized that one of the loudest stories I’ve carried is the belief that I somehow had to become more before I was enough. More accomplished. More polished. More certain. More aligned.
That realization landed at the heart of my recent Soul Talk, Breaking Up with ‘Never Enough.’ It wasn’t simply about self-worth. It marked another turning point for me—a conscious decision to stop measuring my life against impossible standards and start trusting that my presence has value today, exactly as it is.
Perhaps that’s one of the most courageous things any of us can do.
To break up with the tired story of “not enough.”
To stop waiting for permission.
To stop postponing our voice, our radiance, or the gifts we’ve come here to share.
I’ve begun to notice that once we truly listen to the soul, something else naturally follows. We become more intentional—not because we have another goal to achieve, but because our lives begin organizing themselves around what matters most. We follow the energy of what feels deeply true, allowing each choice, encounter, and step forward to reveal a little more of who we are becoming.
Maybe that’s what sovereignty really feels like.
Not standing above anyone else.
Standing fully within ourselves.
As July unfolds, I wonder what part of you has been patiently waiting to emerge. What old agreement is ready to be liberated? What deeper knowing has been asking for your attention?
Whatever it is, I hope you trust yourself enough to take one small step toward it.
Sometimes that’s all the soul has ever been asking of us.
