If you’ve been following along, you’ve heard me talk or write about divine blueprints—a soul code that guides why you’re here on the Earth at this time.
I know some may find this idea challenging, or may hold entirely different beliefs. That’s okay. At its core, it’s not far from dedicating yourself to developing a skill or talent that inspires you like nothing else. Whatever that talent or calling is, on some level you know it’s what you’re meant to do or be.
When I began working with divine purpose some twenty years ago, the language quickly took hold in spiritual communities. Everyone wanted to discover their soul’s purpose. I lived in Los Angeles, which may explain why it spread so easily, but workshops, seminars, radio shows, and books on the subject seemed to explode over night. I even offered—with some degree of success—one-day workshops called Living Your Divine Purpose.
Seeking and discovering your purpose felt mystical, worthy of devoted attention.
One unintended effect was that some people moved from workshop to workshop, or guru to guru, searching for their purpose in hopes of fixing their lives. If you didn’t like what you discovered about your purpose, you could always sign up for the next course or stand in line to meet the next teacher coming to town. Maybe those answers would finally be satisfactory, and all would be well for the rest of your incarnation.
Easy peasy.
Fast forward to now.
Soul purpose—or divine blueprint—has become mainstream. And with the familiarity, the idea feels less intimidating. The search less frantic. The hope for that quick fix, largely tempered.
All that said, I do believe we incarnate with a divine blueprint. We enter into agreements with our soul group, master teachers, and ancestors before sliding back into the density of 3D. Perhaps we work out some details with the record keepers of the Akashic Library, or explore scenarios with our guides. I remember some of what occurs in these realms—but however it goes, the map for each incarnation is designed for our highest purpose, and ours alone.
In my work, I’m often asked what my purpose is. I do have purpose and vision statements for my business, Mark of the Soul. Yet I’m not separate from my business—not in this work. My soul is fully engaged in all aspects of my life and what I offer.
Here are those statements:
PURPOSE
To liberate and empower the soul’s authentic voice through spiritual insight, creative expression, and deep connection, sparking inspiration, clarity, healing, transformation, and a more compassionate world.
VISION
A world where awakened souls live and create authentically, every connection fosters joy, healing, love, and compassion, and collective transformation unfolds through liberation, clarity, co-creativity, and purpose.
Not shabby. And then, I’m asked:
What Do You Do?
I guide people to activate their inner power through healing, wisdom, peace, and light.
How Do You Do It?
I support your inner work through channeled guidance, compassionate insight, spiritual practice, coaching, and mentorship, opening the path to transformation together.
In truth, it’s less about doing—though there’s plenty that keeps me busy—and more about being: holding the presence of healing, wisdom, peace, and light. It’s about choosing to embody the frequencies of joy, love, and transformation while walking alongside others.
These questions matter. But the one that feels most revealing to me is this:
Why I Do This Work
Because I know what it’s like to feel an opening, to have the cloudy veil suddenly pulled back. I know what it’s like to feel transformed without any idea of what it means or how life will change. I also know the satisfaction that comes from digging deep: facing fear, surrendering control, trusting a power greater than myself.
And ultimately realizing how essential it is to trust myself most of all.
There is an unequivocal knowing that comes from touching my soul, from communicating with the higher self—something far beyond the love, approval, or recognition I sought from others.
This love is unconditional in the purest sense. And we’re surrounded by it. From guides to soul, Source to angels, and so many other beings meant to “walk” with us.
This can feel like journeying into entirely new realms, and for most it is. What we discover are deep remembrances—of who we are and why we’re here.
I want everyone to experience this infinite potentiality, this unconditional love, this vast beauty already within them. I want people to find the courage to journey inward—to recognize the illusions we live under on this plane and how to transcend the noise. I want us to live our most authentic lives, filled with joy, creativity, purpose, and love. To tap our own wisdom. To know the expansiveness of our energy.
To reclaim our power.
It’s not about what we give up. It’s entirely about what we gain—which is everything.
Fear dissolves in the face of revelation. We get to play with the truth of our being, the authenticity we crave, the blueprint we came here to unfold. It’s like a perpetual play date, and everyone is invited.
Living my purpose feeds my soul. I experience a level of energy—sometimes bordering on the supernatural—that I haven’t felt in many years. Beyond the senses, I know myself as a powerful energetic being. I feel connected to myself, and at one with the world around me.
New for me is a deepening connection with nature, with Gaia herself. The experience is marvelous, miraculous, and moving.
I’m offered glimpses of what it means to walk between realms, of what becomes possible when we truly believe anything is.
We Don’t Arrive with Performance Metrics
You may notice I haven’t outlined any to-do lists as part of a divine blueprint. That’s because we have free will. We can choose what resonates. If we don’t know, we can listen inwardly, discern, and respond to what feels most authentic. We can explore ideas with those of like heart. And we can always change our minds.
We don’t arrive with performance metrics. We arrive with a map—a blueprint for how we wish to move energetically through this lifetime.
You may wish to cultivate love and compassion. That intention will likely out-picture in ways that are loving and compassionate, perhaps “born” from moments when love or compassion seemed absent.
You may feel called to care for animals—through companionship, fostering, rescue, sanctuary, or advocacy. Perhaps that blueprint came into focus when you witnessed profound harm or injustice.
Our blueprints are already in place, waiting to be activated through awareness, curiosity, and devotion to our truest nature.
After all these years—doing this work in many forms, with a few sabbaticals along the path—I can’t imagine ever saying no to my soul again.
Because if I did, I might miss watching you reach for the stars.
And witnessing you soar is the most sublime experience of all.
In joy and unity, always.
Invitation
This is also the foundation of my work as a coach and mentor.
I work with people who are crossing thresholds—personally, creatively, spiritually, or professionally—and who sense that something old is dissolving, even if they can’t yet name what’s emerging.
